She says to collect donated Art of Love interpretations from local artists as gifts to The AIDS Memorial Project of Northeast Florida for them to sell merchandise containing the artwork. What are your suggestions to make Pink Edition Jax work? Do you have art submissions or will you by Valentine's Day? Please help spread word of this project by directing artists to view information on www.pinkeditionjax.com. The site needs to be updated with necessary info describing the effort to spread love while raising money for a non-profit organization.

I would love to know what you are working on and I think this is a great place for us to share and support our creative projects and process. I'm working on a new version of I'm A Secret Superhero! I'm changing the main character from a white girl to a black girl. The children's book written by Marla McKenna and illustrated by me, Brenda Roberts Kato is about finding your talents, being kind and thinking positive. The book already has people of color in the book but I put my niece on the original cover. I actually illustrated cartoon characters of my friends children. Children love the books vibrant colors and parents love the message. Why change it? I have been on the board of The Center of Achievement for the past ten years and they asked me if I would be willing to change the color of the main character so that they could give copies of the book to the mostly black girls they serve. Children relate better to characters that look like them. So I'm excited to make this change and accommodate the request.
