About A City of Expression
A City of Expression (ACOE), led by Michael Miller, ignited a fire in the minds of many Jacksonville, FL area artists. It began with the 1991 Explosion of the Arts, a street art festival, and its program of events named SPARK. Both Explosion of the Arts and SPARK were sponsored and produced by members of ACOE.
This art event at 5 Points in the historic Riverside-Avondale neighborhood was a means for artistic expression from young and upcoming creatives. The festivities were so widely celebrated that this became an annual event in 1992 with the Explosion of the Arts II.
We are reserving the name Explosion of the Arts III for the first truly global ACOE art event and the first global edition comprised of local art magazines, with thousands of communities participating to bring "Green Edition Jax 2027" and its mother, "Green Edition 2027," and the peace they will promote. The goal is to become united by the implementation of our mission to help souls heal through the peace of mind the arts can bring to individuals, in addition to all nations and their peoples.
The editions of iD Magazine have helped artists and art lovers experience a venue of creative expression. "And is there any need greater than to express ourselves? Crying out for expression, identifying ourselves, celebrating art and life and creativity are what iD’s all about."
The partial quote above by Steven Gelsi says volumes, and THAT'S what Yellow Edition Jax is all about: Expressing many messages of light within a valuable venue for artists that create works that have healing effects and could light a path of recovery of this beautiful planet we share as our only home.
