“iD is defined as the mind’s driving force, the one that cries out for the satisfaction of primitive needs. And is there any need greater than to express ourselves? Crying out for expression, identifying ourselves, celebrating art and life and creativity are what iD’s all about.”

A City of
Expression
The arts organization A City of Expression aimed to build bridges between all communities within Jacksonville and created art events, teamed with what was then known as iD Magazine issues, that helped to accomplish this mission.
The art publication's early 1991-1992 issues were printed on colored paper and are referred to as The Yellow, Red, and Green Editions. Please read these issues from the Early Publications button in the navigation menu.
Yellow Edition Jax offers another look at the roots of A City of Expression and contains enlightening messages of light. Future publications will revisit the Red and Green editions and concentrate on messages of love (Pink Edition Jax, planned for 2026) and peace (Green Edition Jax, maybe in 2027).
